Course summary

In this free, 90-minute session, you will learn how to organize your academic job search, including the various components of the application package. As part of a mock faculty search committee, you will critique candidates based on real sample application materials. 

The instructor is Dr. Cynthia Fuhrmann, Program Director for Academic Career Development at UC San Francisco. Dr. Fuhrmann teaches workshops at UCSF, regionally, and nationally, including annual conferences of the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology. Dr. Fuhrmann has a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UCSF and a Bachelors degree in Chemistry from UC Davis.
