Course summary

In this two-hour session, you will learn how to organize your academic job search, including the various components of the application package. As part of a mock faculty search committee, you will critique candidates based on real sample application materials. 

The instructor is Dr. Cynthia Fuhrmann, Assistant Dean, Career & Professional Development, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, University of Massachusetts Medical School. Dr. Fuhrmann teaches workshops regionally and nationally, including annual conferences of the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology. Dr. Fuhrmann has a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UCSF and a Bachelors degree in Chemistry from UC Davis.
